Is this a good deal for a Hawaiian vacation?
I plan to go to Oahu in late May and stay for 12 days. There will be 2 adults and 1 child 8 years of age. Is $1,000/person for roundtrip flights from San Francisco to Oahu and hotel sound like an ok deal? I searched through Travelocity. The hotel is an average one but we don’t care. This will be our first time to Hawaii so I’m not sure the amount I should expect to spend. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Sounds alright. Remember, they will tack on a hotel tax for each day you stay and there may even be a transient tax which is a onetime tax. I’m not certain though if they still charge that one. I can tell you I stayed in Waikiki for 7nights at one of the timeshares for just $380. It was a one bedroom with kitchen and only one block from the beach. i got it from ebay. I stayed there twice for the same price each time. If you look at ebay and Craigslist you will find a cheaper price. You should not pay more than $500/ticket for airfare from California. Just keep looking and be vigilant.

Sounds like an awesome deal… just make sure its legit. Make sure what exactly IS and ISN’T included… what type of hotel it is.. how close to everything it is… lots of factors especially when booking online. I am a travel agent and I have seen people think they have found great deals online and then realize something isn’t included that they thought was.. or wasn’t in a great spot. If you have done all the research and everything looks good… I would say book it!

Double-checked on Expedia and that price is about right (prices started at $800/person). Does your price include a car?

You should see how much it is if you were just to get a flight. Cause if you can find a really cheap flight and rent a villa for those 12 days, it might cost you even cheaper and you will have a nicer place.
You can find decent villas for good reasonable prices, because remember when you stay at a hotel, you will not have a kitchen and you will only have a room.

It depends on the Hotel you receive for that price. There are many in Oahu that are unsanitary. Please be very careful before you point and click for your vacation.
Speak to a specialist, they can give you honest advice, and the cheapest prices.
