The majority of Brits seem to LIKE having the monarchy maintained. It is a tie to England’s rich history, and they are proud of them. Except, maybe, when the Princes and Princesses do something really, really stupid. Like that Nazi costume. And the latest racial controversy.
Never work? Appearing at countless events would probably get rather tiring, on some levels. And there is no way I would ever want to be in a position where my every move is scrutinized.
