very good point…that’s why i made sure that my company’s tech guy called AT&T to make sure i’d be covered in indonesia. My personal cell phone has AT&T and i can’t get international service, but both my work phone (blackberry) and work USC Connect card do have international service, for business purposes. Luckily, they are paid for by my company, but the rest of you should DEFINITELY watch out for roaming fees…they can be KILLER! Thanks for the good heads up!

The USBConnect only …
The USBConnect only works in the U.S., check the AT&T’s Coverage Viewer and you’ll see. Maybe it’ll work in Europe or Asia with advanced cellular networks but expect roaming charges. When you travel out of country always talk to your cellular provider to get information about services in the country you’re traveling to, those surprise roaming charges can be expensive!

i haven’t noticed a difference at all! I watched a whole movie on it with someone, and the SUPER cool thing about the splitter that i got is that each side has individual volume control! crazy.

You should definitely try this out! you do have to have a sim card (which also gives you a phone number and you can actually use the USB connect to “message” people like you would from your cell phone!) i’d talk to the folks at AT&T or your cell phone company about prices and options.

Actually, i just happened to show the base of the adapter…the kit comes with about 6 different attachments for all different parts of the world! but you are right that the one i held up looked just like the adapter for the UK (i have one of those too!!) good lookin’ out!

the adapter you showed at approx 1.49 secs is for use in england and the rest of uk, wouldnt advise using it in bali without use of a hammer to insert it.
